Recipe for Grilled Peaches
Howdy all! Wanted to pass along this tasty idea for farm fresh peaches! Step 1 - using a potato peeler - peel off the fuzzy peel and cut peaches in half - remove the pit.
Step 2 - Toss in bowl with olive oil - just enough to lightly glaze each peach. Lightly salt & pepper.
Step 3 - Place on hot grill - turn after 5 minutes. Let each piece cook until it has softened.
Serve by themselves as a side dish - or wrap with Prosciutto - or serve over Vanilla ice cream!
A great way to use those peaches that are so tasty in the summer!
YUM!!

another easy way to peel peaches (or nectarines, apricots, etc.) is to blanch them. simple dip your fruit in boiling water for about 20 seconds, remove with a slotted spoon and immediately put in a bowl of ice water. the peels will slip right off. they will peel even easier if you score a small x on the end before blanching them.
Thanks for the tip An! Those lil peaches take talent to peel with a peeler! I have used this same concept for lil potatoes too!
